Academy Day

Our school day begins at 8.30am when children come into school for a free breakfast. This is open to all children from Nursery to Year 6 and is well attended.

From 8.40am, children who have had breakfast in school go to their classroom for a morning starter session. Also, at 8.40am, the playground doors into the main school building are opened and children who are not already in school can come in for the start of their school day to tackle their morning starter.

The official school day starts with registration at 8.55am and you are encouraged to ensure that your child(ren) is in school by this time.

During the morning, there is a 15-minute break for all classes from Year 1 – Year 6 at 10.30am.

Lunch for Reception and KS1 children begins at 11.40am, with KS2 starting their lunch break at 12.10pm.

Afternoon lessons begin at 12.30pm for Reception and Key Stage One and all other classes start at 1:00pm.

During the afternoon each class have an Active 15 minutes which is part of the school’s commitment to the Active 30 initiative..

The school day ends at 3.15pm.
